Phishing emails often have the following characteristics:

  • Claim urgency or request for sensitive information (e.g. banking details, passwords, etc.).
  • Contain spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Include suspicious links, QR codes, or attachments.

If you are unsure about the authenticity of an email, do not respond or click on any links. Instead, contact us at 6440 4393 for verification. Kindly note that the Co-op currently has no promotional engagements with any third party.

  1. What should I do to protect myself if I receive a phishing email?
  • Do not click on links, scan QR codes, or engage with chatbots included in phishing emails.
  • Delete the phishing email immediately and block the sender.
  • Never share personal information in response to these emails.
  1. How do I block the sender of a phishing email?

Most email platforms and providers offer options to block or report suspicious emails. Look for the “Block Sender” or “Report Spam” options in your email platform. Detailed steps vary depending on the provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook).

  1. Will Teachers’ Co-op contact me via email?

Yes, Teachers’ Co-op may contact members via email, but official communications will:

  • Never ask for your password or sensitive personal information (e.g. passwords, banking details, etc.).
  • Come from an official email address ending with @teachersco-op.org.sg (e.g., cs@teachersco-op.org.sg).

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from us, please contact us at 6440 4393 to verify the email.

  1. Can I still access my Statement of Accounts (SOA)?

The member login portal for SOA access has been temporarily disabled to protect your information. In the meantime, you can request a copy of your SOA by emailing us at cs@teachersco-op.org.sg or by calling 6440 4393.

The member login portal will remain disabled until investigations are completed. Updates will be communicated to all members via email (cs@teachersco-op.org.sg) and posted on our website.

  1. Why am I still receiving phishing emails?

Phishing emails may continue to target individuals using previously leaked information. Please remain vigilant and follow the guidelines provided above to identify and block such phishing attempts.
